We have had 3 eggs a day each day, so I think I will have to start looking for some good recipes to make the most of them, we have already given 6 to my parents.
We have had some glorious weather over the last week, and we have both been flat out in the garden panting all the new plants and getting the pen ready for the chickens. It has been nice to slow down over the last day or two and just lock ourselves indoors with some movies and a roaring fire, I gets quite nippy here at night.
So, as the students prepare to to return next week, I must begin the planning and time tables. I cant believe how quick this academic year has gone, I feel Like it was only the other day that we moved. It would be a year on Saturday when I was offered my new job and time has just flown. My third year Blacksmiths will be finishing their degree in 5 weeks, and I look forward to seeing some of the fantastic students who I used to teach when I take my boys to New Designers in London. I'm really looking forward to sharing a few drinks with all of them.
So I shall leave you with a view from our garden. The garden backs onto this field and just before a thunderous storm arrived all of the cows decided to lay down, all of them, it was quite a sight. Just shortly after they all lay down, the rain arrived, followed by hail and then huge rain drops. It thoroughly watered all the veg and saved us a job.
