Baby Bunting

So whilst thinking of projects that I can keep making once sprog arrives ( Im being very optimistic here!) I arrived at a granny square pattern for bunting! I cant think why I have never thought of it before, I love bunting! Cheers a place up if you know what I mean!

 

So I have been making lots of bunting, I started of with some normal sized ones and then made some really cute small ones. These are my favourite so far, I already know im going to make them in lots of colours. They are from machine washable acrylic yarn and will arrive in my shop later this afternoon, they will be available in a range of colours.

And just a quick update in that little granny swatch that appeared a few days ago........ Iv added more and I'm just getting round to making the pompoms! Its siting nicely next to finished strings of granny bunting!

And also...... I made the last set of cufflinks on the books about an hour ago! I can breath a sigh if relief!!

And relax...... By that I mean crochet!!

Pompom rugs, snow and getting back on track

Well hello and isnt this year going by fast already!! I have been a bit quiet on the blog front lately but rest assured, i haven't had my feet up!! I have been busy making and working and posting work off!! It was a bit manic just after the New Year but thankfully its all winding down a bit, which is perfect!!

I do have some projects on the go with my hubby, were currently working on a pompom rug!! Using up balls of wool that have been stored away which I will never use, so its definitely providing something to do in the evenings. And talk about evenings, I really wish some sun light would return.

Its becoming so difficult to actually do anything that isn't inside the house, and theres only so much sorting, making and cooking up vats of food you can do before you start to long for the outside world!! Which of course looks like this....................

And thats just from Friday, its snowed more this morning which means we are marooned at home, surrounded by blankets of white! And snow is lovely for the first few days but when you kinda want to get back to normal it can induce cabin fever! But it is beautiful! Im hopeful that tomorrow we will be able to get back to work and get on with it before a forecasted blizzard strikes on Friday, without the expected snow thats forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

So here are a few snaps of work that was keeping me busy on the run up to Christmas, and I have almost finished my last order so I can steal some time to just focus on my own projects, as i have quite a few lined up! I will also be getting on with some book reviews as I received some beautiful books just before the christmas break, so I will be here a bit more often in the next few weeks.

I just hope my chickens don't freeze in the meantime! Poor girls, they have no idea what to do with the snow!!
